This is the first contest I ever participated in and I won second place. It took me about three hours to come up with a 3,000-word limit submission and and an hour to polish it up.

I originally had the concept for The Soul Painter as a short story in a collection of short stories I'm already working on. But when I won second place in this contest in September, 2019, I decided to turn The Soul Painter into a trilogy.

Book one will be published some time the last quarter of 2020.

I am beyond excited for this new project.
